This came in email yesterday, and it looks like New York gets to have all the fun again. NYC readers, or anyone who can get to NYC over the next 6 weeks, take note.
I came across your blog this morning and the content seems to mesh well with the mission of Women Center Stage, a multi-disciplinary festival featuring women artists whose calls attention to human struggles across the globe. The festival opens this Monday, June 25th (it runs until July 17th), and I was hoping that you might be interested in posting a little something about it to help get the word out to the NY activist community among your readers. This year the festival will feature artists, authors, and activists such as Marisa Tomei, Eve Ensler, Azar Nafisi, and Staceyann Chin – just to name a few – and programming will run the gamut from dramatic theater and comedy to film and music to conversations with respected social change advocates from a variety of fields. Most of the shows will be at the Culture Project theater in SoHo, NYC, along with a few concerts and events at other nearby venues. I would greatly appreciate any coverage you could give us (assuming this is something
that interests you), and would be happy to provide any other info you may need.
